Activists and Allies

Though there is not much research on the different types of activism Muslims engage in, Grace Yukich found multiple avenues of resistance Muslims take: education about Islam, and religious, social, and political change. Activists such as Linda Sarsour and MPower Change have sought to eradicate islamophobia through social and political change, while others such as Muslim Reform Movement have taken the route of reforming Islam as a religion to be more inclusive. Dalia Mogahed is an activist who focuses on education and research surrounding Islam and islamophobia through her foundatoin ISPU.
