Media and Politicians

Because politicians and media can influence American thought and belief so heavily, they must reform the way Muslims are represented. Donald Trump and others in leadership can no longer afford to promote untrue stereotypes of Muslims. Erik K. Ward, program officer at the Ford Foundation, called for politicians to address more than the issue of hate toward Muslims, but also focus on "issues like poverty, illiteracy, and the threat of deportation…"
